Disney / Pixar Mr. Incredible Review !!!

I purchased this figure of Mr. Incredible at a local Target for around $19.99 . I have never had a figure of any of the Incredibles before . This is my first figure of any of them , plus this is NOT an old figure from 2004 , this is a modern Mr.Incredible figure that you can purchase in stores now, at the time of this writing . The name of this toy line however is not just directly aimed at the Incredibles . This is a toy line that has several of Disney / Pixar 's characters in this first wave , and Mr. Incredible happens to be one of them . Plus he is in the six inch scale, my favorite height scale for figures. The name of the toy company is Thinkway Toys , and you can visit their website at www.thinkwaytoys.com . I was going to review over one of the recent Marvel Legends I bought , however I'm not too sure if a lot of people know about this particular figure of Mr. Incredible . This is one of the few figures that I discovered in person , not over the internet . Before I went to Target recently , I knew nothing of this figure or toy line until I walked the aisle that it was in .

As you can see on the back of the packaging there are other characters from the Disney/Pixar franchise , along with Syndrome . The Target I bought Mr. Incredible from did not have Syndrome . I want him too, however if I can't find him in person than onto the Internet I go . Also as you can see, Mr. Incredible comes with a weapon called the " Omnidroid 10 Grappling Claw " . Below is a look at all of the accessories Mr. Incredible comes with .
The accessory at the top is the Omnidroid 10 Grappling Claw , and below are two pieces that combine to form a posing stand . Below are pics of Mr. Incredible displayed with the accessories .

Since the Omnidroid Claw was not featured in the movie, it is an accessory made strictly for the toy . When I first saw the weapon I thought of the villain character called the Underminer , the villain seen at the end of the movie after Syndrome is defeated . The claw looks like something that he may use but instead it belongs to Mr. Incredible. Now for some better looks at the figure itself .

This figure is a PERFECT LIKENESS of the character . It looks as if he jumped right out of the movie . Plus I'm glad that he is in the six inch scale . I love the bulkiness of the figure. He is fun to hold in your hands and pose . Since both of his fists are closed , you can display Mr. Incredible in a variety of power poses, such as punching people or objects . Below are comparison shots as I compare him to other six inch scaled figures .

Although not quite as tall as the Spider-Man figure , Mr. Incredible definitely is bulky just like he is in the movie. Plus we can see that he matches the body size of that He-Man variant .

                                                           FINAL  THOUGHTS
 (1) ARTICULATION - Arms move up and down and outward, plus they rotate . Elbows bend and rotate. Wrists rotate . Limited left-right head movement , no up and down head movement . Bends below the chest and slightly rotates. Up and down leg movement plus outward . Plus upper thighs rotate . Ankles bend and rotate. Nice all around articulation except for his head .

(2) STANDING  ABILITY - The larger upper body may make many think there is a top heaviness issue with the figure, there is but it is only temporary . This is when you first take him out of the package. You can eliminate the top heaviness by adjusting his legs and ankles to a proper stance. Once you do this he stands excellent with no balance issues. He really stands well on wooden surfaces.

(3) WHAT  I  LIKE  BEST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? - Perfect movie likeness . He is fun to hold in your hands and it's fun to display him in power poses .

(4) WHAT  I  LIKE  LEAST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? - There is nothing that I dislike about this figure .

(5) WHAT  COULD  HAVE  BEEN  DONE  TO  IMPROVE  THE  FIGURE ? Add up and down head articulation , however I am not bothered by the limited head movement .

(6) GRADING  SCALE - A PERFECT 10 !!! Despite the limited head movement, I still give this figure a perfect score since I already mentioned that the limited head movement does not bother me . If it did I would have lowered the score .

(7) FINAL  ANALYSIS - I'm glad to finally have an action figure of Mr. Incredible, or any of the Incredibles for that matter . Now bring on the rest of the family . Plus Frozone . I'm ready for them and if this company ever releases them all, I will definitely buy them all . If you are okay with collecting cartoonish looking figures, this Mr.Incredible figure makes a nice addition to your collection for the reasons mentioned above.

My Walmart Layaway for 2015 !!! Marvel Legends, Stars Wars Black, and Megatron !!!

Walmart is now having layaway till December . If there are some action figures that you want but do not want to spend too much money all at once , like myself , then head on over to your local Walmart and take advantage of the layaway opportunity . When no one was in the toy aisle but myself, I took my camera out and took these pics of my haul . I promise that I will review every single one of these figures by the time I purchase them out of layaway . I know that the majority of these figures if not all of them will have already been reviewed by other toy reviewers by the time I get to them . However I try to be different from other reviewers with my style and technique . NOT better, different . I'm not better than anyone, just different . Plus a late toy review is better than no review . After all, I love toys however I have to pay my bills too .  Here's my layaway haul .

Out of this haul , I am most excited about Combiner Wars Megatron and then the Star Wars Black figures . I've always wanted 1980 cartoon accurate Transformers, and with this Combiner Wars series, a wish has come true . To take these pictures, I did not have to use the flash on my camera . The bright white lights of Walmart made the flash feature unnecessary . I can't wait to review these toys for you once I get them out of layaway !!!

A PREVIEW of the next figures to be reviewed.

If you've noticed, I have not been posting toy reviews as often because I have been busy working on my super hero franchise labeled "Hero-Force,INC. " Plus by the time I get home from work I do not have the proper free time that I need to post the reviews .A normal day may go like this ( get home, cook dinner, eat dinner, clean up afterwards , then bedtime is not far behind ) . So I've decided to show you the next few figures I plan on reviewing for the rest of this month . I have had all three of these figures since August and have not reviewed them yet .

I do not know who I'm going to review next however expect reviews on all of the above figures in the coming days . Whenever my free time goes back up, the reviews will happen more often .

Marvel Legends Infinite Series - Spider-Woman -Thanos Build-a-figure series Review !!!

I purchased this version of Spider-Woman at a local Target for around 19.99 . This is the second original Spider-Woman figure to join the Marvel Legends line . I think this is a nice upgrade over the original Toybiz version . Spider-Woman is also a "running change" variant figure as she shares the spotlight with the character known as Hellcat . I'm glad to have a remake of this character, because this is one of the few figures that I think Toybiz did not have their " A Game " when they made her . In my opinion, the original Toybiz figure is too skinny, whereas this Hasbro version is perfect body wise .

As you can see she comes with two Build-a-figure pieces of Thanos , his head and left arm . She also comes with four pieces of webbing , in which all of the pieces are meant to fit into tiny slits cut unto her underarms. Now let's take a look at Spider-Woman out of the packaging , without the webbing.
I think Spider-Woman was nicely done with an excellent figure sculpt. Her hands are sculpted as if she is ready for battle . A problem that Hasbro has had with past female figures with sculpted long hair is that the hair would make the figure somewhat top heavy . That issue is no longer a concern this time. Once you position her legs properly, Spider-Woman stands well with no top heaviness issues. Speaking of balance, the figure being flat footed with no high heels helps also. Past female figure's such as Hasbro's Black Cat has high heel boots that affects her balance a little. This is not the case with Spider-Woman, as this version has no high heels. The Toybiz version does in fact have high heels. Speaking of the Toybiz version below is a comparison shot to the current figure .
If you'll notice it seems that the differences outnumber the similarities . Differences are the webbing, different shades of red, high heels compared to no high heels, plus body size difference. The only thing that I like better about the Toybiz version than I do the Hasbro figure is the webbing . I prefer the clear rubbery webbing of the Toybiz figure over the hard plastic webbing of the Hasbro figure. Plus you can see the web lines better in the Toybiz webbing from a distance . This Hasbro Spider-Woman is the best looking " SW " ( Spider-Woman ) figure since the Marvel Select version in my opinion . Below is a comparison of the Hasbro figure to the Marvel Select one .
With the exception of the different colored webbing , there is not much difference between the Hasbro and Marvel Select figures . Below is a comparison shot of the Toybiz, Hasbro , and Select versions in one shot .
One positive that Spider-Woman's extra webbing allow is multiple display options . The pics below can help you decide rather you like her better with the small webbing pieces, or the bigger ones .

Now for a shot of the previous Spider-women figures compared with this latest Hasbro version .
The previous spider-women are supposed to be teenagers, compared to the original being a full grown woman . As you can see there is now enough spider-women to build a small army . Plus don't forget Spider-Gwen is on her way , not to mention another spider female known as Silk may be on her way too .

                                                       FINAL  THOUGHTS

(1) ARTICULATION - Excellent all around articulation .The hard plastic hair somewhat affects overall head movement just a little though .

(2) STANDING  ABILITY - Get her ankles in the proper positioning to make her stand perfectly with no balance issues .

(3) WHAT  I  LIKE  BEST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? - The overall figure sculpt is magnificent . Cool looking figure. I like her webbing plus she is a nice upgrade over the Toybiz figure for various reasons I've already mentioned .

(4) WHAT  I  LIKE  LEAST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? There is nothing that I dislike about this figure.

(5) WHAT  COULD  HAVE  BEEN  DONE  TO  IMPROVE  THIS  FIGURE ? Nothing in my opinion . However it would be nice if she had webbing similar to the Toybiz version .

(6) GRADING  SCALE - A Perfect 10 !!! No flaws in my opinion .

(7) FINAL  ANALYSIS - While the Toybiz version of Spider-Woman was nice for it's time, this current version is an excellent enough upgrade to make you almost want to trade or sell your Toybiz version . Or to customize the Toybiz version unto another character if you want . I know one thing for sure, I will be now be displaying this current version along with Captain America, Iron-Man and the other Avengers instead of the Toybiz one .
