2016 San Diego Comic Con Mini Review flashback .

Now with the 2016 SDCC now over , there was a lot of stuff that caught my attention, however the following toy lines are what I mainly look for news for . They are WWE Mattel, Masters of the Universe Classics, Star Wars Black Series , DC Multiverse and Marvel Legends . Below are some pics of a few figures that I'm interested in from each line. ( NOTE ) The pics below are not mine. They belong to the websites Toynewsi.com , the Fwoosh.com and Pop Critica.

Of the Marvel Legends , I am excited the most about Dazzler and Jessica Jones . Jessica just looks cool, however I have been wanting a figure of the original Dazzler since the existence of the Toybiz line .

Star Wars Black is finally releasing actor Billy Dee Williams' character ,Lando Calrissian .  it's about time . I thought he should have appeared earlier in the series, since he's one of the earliest movie characters.  Can't wait for the new versions of Leia and Kylo Ren .

Of the new DC Multiverse figures, I really am looking forward to the King Shark figure you see above.

I have been wanting a figure of Tatanka since the WWE Mattel line started . However I'm not sure if he's going to be Elite or Basic . The female figure I'm looking forward to the most is Asuka, seen above .
As for MOTU Classics, there was news reported about the line but no pictures of new figures. The news is that the toy company known as Super 7 , who will be taking over the line from Mattel . The Four Horsemen will continue their work on the Classics.

Female Ghostbusters Mattel Review !!!

This is a review of the four female Ghostbusters all in one review . All of these figures were purchased at a local Walmart .Patty Tolan , ( Leslie Jones' character ) was the first figure of the four that I purchased and I reviewed the Patty Tolan figure back in June . Here is the link to that review - http://actionfigureimagerytoyreviews.blogspot.com/2016/06/ghostbusters-patty-tolan-review.html . Now it is time to take a look at the other three . ( NOTE ) The real life pics are courtesy of other sites found on the web , used as reference comparisons with the toys . First a look at Jillian Holtzman , played by Saturday Night Live actress Kate McKinnon . One thing that all four of the women have in common is that they all have some sort of connection to Saturday Night Live .

I love the tinted yellow glasses and that you can see her eyes through them . However I think they are more goggles than they are glasses . They are glued to her face, so if you want to remove them it would take a lot of force to pry them off . Maybe it'd be best to purchase two Jillian Holtzman figures, one to leave as is and the other to display without the goggles . As you can see Holtzman comes with the torso of the build-a-figure known as Rowan. Next up is Abby Yates played by actress Melissa McCarty .

This Abby Yates figure is one of my favorites of the bunch. I love her regular glasses, plus she is the shortest lady of the group and also has the heaviest set body . As you can see she comes with the arms of the build-a-figure . Just like Jillian , Abby's glasses are glued to her face as well . Now for a look at Erin Gilbert , played by actress Kristen Wiig .

As you can see Erin comes with both legs of the build-a-figure Rowan . My only gripe about this figure is the paint job done on her left eye. On quite a few of the Erin figures I saw packaged , it looks as if the left eye paint job has somewhat of a bloated pupil. It is nothing to get too alarmed over however, as it is barely noticeable unless you look real close. Unlike Abby Yates' pony tail, Erin's pony tail can only be seen if you turn her head to the side, while you can see Abby's while she is facing you . Now for a look at various comparisons of these figures in the pics below .

In the above two pics of Jillian and Erin , I was shocked and surprised that both of these figures have different body sizes. When packaged, it looks as if these two are sharing the same body mold, but when you open them you'll notice that they are not. Erin is thinner than Jillian and the other ladies. She is the thinnest lady of the bunch . The above figures do NOT have any shared parts, which is GREAT !!! I love the variety in these figures. even the legs are different . Also I think that Jillian looks a little taller than Erin too .
Above you have the tallest female Ghostbuster, Patty Tolan , paired with the shortest female Ghostbuster, Abby Yates . In real life Leslie Jones is 6"0 feet tall . Melissa McCarty is 5"2 . So basically we are seeing a 5"2 person standing next to a 6 footer in action figure form . I just love how true these figures are to the real life people . Now for a group shot.
It feels great to add all four of them into the collection . I think one of the greatest luxuries of owning these figures is that they are all DIFFERENT !!! All four of them. No shared body parts, different heights and body sizes , etc . I hope future action figure lines continue this variety in figures. Also notice that Jillian has her shirt sleeves rolled up compared to the others having long sleeves. NICE JOB MATTEL !!! Now for a look at the build-a-figure known as Rowan .

Rowan is more of a great display piece than he is as an actual action figure , because his articulation is very limited . His head turns left and right, no up and down movement. Arms only move up and down . His legs, once you snap them in place onto his torso, do not move but his feet do move . I was also surprised at how small he is, he's seems to be the same height as Abby Yates . Despite the limited articulation he is still a nice figure to own, great for battle poses against any of the Ghostbusters, including the men . Overall I just don't understand all of the hate from fans against the female Ghostbuster franchise. There were even clearance sales on some figures in certain parts of the country, however I paid the full price of $ 19.99 including taxes on all four of the ones I own . I think these figures are fantastic and if you do not have them in your collection I suggest that you may want to .

WWE Mattel - Eva Marie and Sasha Banks Review !!!

I purchased both of these figures at a local Walmart for around the 10 dollar price range . Both are considered to be part of the Basic series . I was so glad that both of them are Basic figures, because if they were in the Elite series I would have to pay an extra 20 dollars with both put together. The back of the packaging is the same for both figures.

I'll start with Sasha Banks, since she is a " First time in the line " figure .

Once you remove Sasha from the packaging, you may be surprised how short the figure is. as you can see it is just a little over five inches tall and a little under six inches in height . She is one of the shortest, if not the shortest female figure in the WWE Mattel line. Sasha is also one of the most muscular female figures. She is short with a stocky muscular build . The  above pictures do not does her look justice. She has a six-pack like look for her abs , and her upper thighs have muscle lines / striations in them . When you turn her head left and right, her soft rubbery hair bends along . This Sasha Banks figure is one of those figures that is much better looking in person than she is in these pictures. My camera just would not do her justice. Now for a look at Eva Marie .

I missed out on the first figure of Eva Marie, which is wearing a mostly all black outfit. The above version is mainly a repaint of the original . I think I like this second version better anyway because of the cool looking bright green attire . Eva is also one of a few rare redheads in the line . Just like with Sasha, she is a much better looking figure in person than she is in these pics. She has dimples in her cheeks but in these pics  they're barely noticeable. In the future I may have to stop using the flash feature on my camera and just purchase some better lamps and overall lighting . Eva is also much taller than Sasha as shown below .
The above picture is one of the main reasons I love WWE Mattel figures so much . Everyone is in scale with their actual real life height . While inside the packaging, both of these figures looked as if they were the same height and size . What a surprise when I opened them .
FINAL  THOUGHTS
(1) ARTICULATION - Both of these figures maintain the same regular articulation that all WWE diva figures continue to have .

(2) STANDING  ABILITY - Both figures stand well without balance issues

(3) WHAT  I  LIKE  BEST  ABOUT  THESE  FIGURES ? - Sasha - her muscular body is a work of art . Great detail. Eva Marie - The green outfit and red hair makes her a very colorful figure.

(4) WHAT  I  LIKE  LEAST  ABOUT  THESE  FIGURES ? - There is nothing that I dislike about these figures .

(5) WHAT  COULD  HAVE  BEEN  DONE  TO  IMPROVE  THESE  FIGURES ? - Nothing in my opinion they are okay as they are .

(6) GRADING  SCALE  -  Because I can find no flaws , Perfect 10 for both.

(7) FINAL  ANALYSIS - I hope more of the Divas will continue to be in the Basic series rather than the Elite series, just like Eva and Sasha. This way it'll be a lot easier and cheaper to collect them .
