Masters of the Universe Classics- Multi-Bot Review !!!

Multi-Bot is part of the June 2015 Club Eternia subscription . Multi-bot is also cool as a character in my opinion. I say this because of his impressive debut in his vintage mini comic called " The Menace of Multi-bot ". Multi-Bot so far is also the most expensive figure from the subscription this year, costing a little over forty dollars. The reasons for the bloated price tag ? Well for starters, his package weighs more than other figures, thus increasing the shipping charges. Plus he comes with a boatload of accessories, or in this case, his spare parts.

I like Multi-bot's bio on the back of the packaging. I miss the old artwork that the vintage package had though.I just wish the bio could explain the many different looks of the character . Notice that the toy version, cartoon version and vintage mini comic version of Multi-bot all look different . Before I go back to talking about this MOTUC toy, I'm going to focus on Multi-Bot as a character for a few moments. First here are both the cartoon and mini comic versions of the character.

If you pay close attention , the different versions do share some parts even though they look different otherwise. The treads on the feet along with the claw hands remain intact on all versions. The faces of Multi-Bot are totally different however. Here are some face comparison shots of the Filmation version and the toy.
As a kid I always thought that these two heads are the same.Still do. Even though the toy has an orange head compared to the yellow head of the cartoon version . I say these are the same heads because of yellow and orange being similar colors.
I also and still believe that these two heads are the same. Green is similar to blue. However like the other heads, the differences outnumber the similarities. Now back to Multi-Bot as a toy. In my opinion, the green head looks more like an alien human head instead of a robot. At least the orange head does look robotic and cybernetic . The following is how Multi-Bot is presented once you remove him from the packaging.
It surprised me to find both Multi-Bot heads with different complete bodies already put together, instead of the parts being spread apart like Modulok . Everything you see in the above pic is what you get with Multi-Bot . When I saw this, part of me likes the set up and part of me does not . I do like the idea of getting two complete figures in one package . However , this setup sort of takes the fun out of putting him together from scratch, just like the good old days . So even though the two complete figures is a nice touch, it is also fun to put everything together from scratch .
Before I continue with the toy review, back to Multi-bot one more time as a character. I'm about to show you the reason why he is one of my most favorite MOTU villains . Thanks to these shots from the vintage "Menace of Multi-Bot" mini comic .

I think Multi-Bot is great as a character because of how physically tough he is . In the top panel we see that he is strong enough to make the Royal Palace walls shake like an earthquake. In the other panels we see him beating up Teela, Sy-Klone, and even He-Man, even knocking the most powerful man of the universe to the ground with one punch . Now back to the toy again . Below are the two Multi-Bot bodies out of the clear packaging.

I like the two complete Multi-bots so much that I still have not bothered to take him / them apart yet. Maybe later, but not anytime soon . And just like MOTUC Modulok , Multi-Bot's parts are articulated . You can bend his elbows, bend his knees, move the arms and legs inward and outward, etc . Plus to my surprise, the bodies even have an ab crunch, just like any regular MOTUC figure . Also with these two complete bodies, you can see that Multi-Bot is about the same height as your average MOTUC figure .
                                                       FINAL   THOUGHTS

( 1 ) ARTICULATION - Never thought I would be using this category on Multi-bot of all figures, although the two complete bodies along with his spare parts do indeed have articulation . The two complete figures have basically the same normal articulation as any regular MOTUC figure .

( 2 ) STANDING  ABILITY - Both of the assembled complete figures stand very well without any balance issues .

( 3 ) WHAT  I  LIKE  BEST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE / FIGURES ? When referring to Multi-Bot, just like Two-Bad and Modulok , do we refer to these guys in a singular or plural tense ? Anyway , I love all of the spare parts. The options are almost endless of what you can transform Multi-bot into . We all know that he can be blended in with Modulok to form Mega-Beast . So the option to blend him in with another toy adds to the fun . I also love the fact that also like Modulok, Multi-Bot's guns can snap together and become one .

( 4 ) WHAT  I  LIKE  LEAST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? There is nothing that I dislike about this figure / figures .

( 5 ) WHAT  COULD  HAVE  BEEN  DONE  TO  IMPROVE  THE  FIGURE ? Nothing. It's perfect the way it is. However it would have been nice to have a Horde bat symbol / insignia for Multi-Bot to wear. Just like Modulok , they are the only Horde members without the Horde symbol / insignia / logo .

( 6 ) GRADING  SCALE - On a scale of 1-10 Multi-Bot is definitely a Perfect Ten . No flaws.

( 7 ) FINAL  ANALYSIS - Thanks to Multi-Bot, the Horde is now almost complete. Even though the toy is super cool , I actually enjoyed reviewing Multi-Bot more as a character than I did as a toy . I mean really, how many villains can you think of to knock He-Man down with one punch? Amazing character, amazing toy .

  1. That's a solid pair! Or set. Either way - some seriously nice figures (and the character review was cool to see as well).
