Stranger Things - Barb Review !!!

Barb is my third figure from the McFarlane Toys Stranger Things seven inch/six inch scaled figures . Depending on how you view things, the figures are advertised in seven inch scale however a lot of them can easily fit in with six inch scale figures. Barb is one of them. The other two Stranger Things figures I own I have also reviewed on this site. Back in 2017 I reviewed Eleven and Chief Harper .  Barb is a great figure. I love her glasses. Her hair and face are sculpted well. The pink and blue colors in her shirt look good and I love the realistic look of her faded blue jeans . Look closely and you will notice a few wrinkles in the jeans. Nice job with the realism and attention to detail . Also look closely and you will notice her watch on her right wrist .

 I love how realistic and detailed Barb's face is. Notice the freckles on her forehead ? When I removed the figure from the packaging I did not noticed the freckles at first. After I took this picture that's when I noticed the freckles . Great sculpting on her hair and a nice job on her glasses. The glasses seem to be glued to her face. If you want to take them off you would have quite a bit of customizing to do with some type of cutting tool or other types of removing tools. The lenses seem to be made of the actual clear plastic used in real glasses. Very cool feature.

 As you can see Barb stands right at six inches tall.

 Above the two accessories Barb comes with, unless you count her glasses and the figure stand. A big book and a can of beer. The beer can is my favorite accessory, it looks cool and realistic like an actual can but I love the fact that you can have figures from other toy lines use it also .

 Barb can hold the can of beer with her left hand but not with her right hand. Her right hand was meant for the book, not the beer can , as the right has a peg in the palm for holding her book. If you want to display Barb in drinking poses it can be done where it looks as if she is about to drink, however the articulation limit will not allow the arm to position the can close to her mouth if you want an actual drinking pose . Below let's see how a figure from another toy line looks with the beer can .

I chose this WWE Mattel Elite figure of Kevin Nash to hold the beer can . A lot of the WWE Mattel male figures have an open hand similar to this and can easily hold the beer can . It will take some work to make some Marvel Legends and some other six inch scale figures to hold the can successfully, but a lot of the male WWE Mattel figures can hold it with ease . Now let's see how Barb looks compared with some six inch scaled figures from other lines .

As for the above comparisons with other six inch scaled toy lines, it looks as if Barb fits in best with the WWE Mattel figures . She seems a little too big for Marvel Legends and some other six inch scaled lines, looking out of place. So if you want an audience member for your wrestling fan toy pics as a crowd member, Barb is great for that . She will make a great civilian character next to the WWE Mattel figures.
                                   FINAL  THOUGHTS        
( 1 )  ARTICULATION  LIMITS - Excellent all around articulation . No ab crunch however it's not needed .

( 2 ) STANDING  ABILITY - If you try to stand her without adjusting her stance out of the packaging she may fall. I suggest adjusting her stance, once you do that she stands nicely , without the figure stand .

( 3 ) WHAT  I  LIKE  BEST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? - Her glasses . Her hair and facial details such as freckles . Nice pink shirt and faded blue jeans. The can of beer .

( 4 ) WHAT  I  LIKE LEAST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? No dislikes.

( 5 ) WHAT  COULD  HAVE  BEEN  DONE  TO  IMPROVE  THE  FIGURE ? - No improvements needed .

( 6 ) GRADING  SCALE  - A Perfect 10 . I could find no dislikes or anything that bothered me about this figure .

( 7 ) FINAL  ANALYSIS - Attention McFarlane Toys . Keep up the great work on these Stranger Things figures !!! Nice job !!!
