Marvel Legends : Infinite Spider-Man Series -Spider-Man2099 Review !!!

I purchased this version of Spider-Man at a local Walmart for around $ 19.97 . This version of Spider-man is also NOT Peter Parker . The secret identity of Spider-Man2099 is a man either named Miguel O Hara or Miguel O Shea . Someone made an error, either Wikipedia or Hasbro. Because on Wikipedia he is referred to as Miguel O Hara . On the back of the packaging of this year's figure he is referred to as Miguel O Shea . One thing we definitely know, is that his first name is definitely Miguel . This is my first figure of this character ever, I never had the old Toybiz version of this exact same character . I'm not sure if I really want the Toybiz version or not . Maybe one day I'll purchase that version, but not anytime soon .

As you can see Spider-Man2099 comes with some build a figure Hobgoblin pieces . ( NOTE ) From now till the rest of this article , I will refer to Spider-Man2099 as SM2099 . Below is a look at all of the accessories that he comes with , the build-a-figure pieces and a web piece .

As you can see SM2099 comes with the Phil Ulrich Hobgoblin's right arm and his fiery blazing sword . Notice that the webbing is almost invisible in the packaging . I did not even knew it was there until I removed SM2099 out of the packaging . The webbing is barely noticeable , unlike the Hobgoblin accessories which one can clearly see . Speaking of the webbing , it fits into a small hole in SM2099's upper back . Once inserted the webbing can be rotated in all directions . However when you rotate it up, right or left it feels like it might pop right out sometimes. I think it was meant to be posed on him in a downward position as shown below .

Also, unlike the original Spider-Man , if you pay close attention to SM2099's hands you'll notice that he does not have regular fingers. He has talons on his fingers, as stated in his Wikipedia profile . As you can see this feature is also very prominent in the figure too in the pic below .
This version of SM2099 is also a darker shade of blue than the original Toybiz version . Even though I do not own the Toybiz version , here is a pic from the internet of the Toybiz figure, from the Spider-Man Classics Toybiz line .
I now wish I had the Toybiz version so I could make comparison shots to the Hasbro version . Below is a pic where you can see how tall this current version is .
Even though he looks a little shorter than six inches in the pic , he is exactly right at six inches tall . The angle of my camera makes him appear to be a tad shorter .
                                                             FINAL  THOUGHTS
( 1 ) ARTICULATION - Excellent . And just like the original Spidey figure of this same series , he has the rolling shoulder blades.

( 2 ) STANDING  ABILITY - Stands very well because he is flat footed . Stands better than a lot of figures because his feet are so flat . No arches or heels to disrupt balance .

( 3 ) WHAT  I  LIKE  BEST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? The webbing . It is soft and rubbery and looks cool on him . The hole in his upper back also allows flight or aerial poses if you own some flight stands. I also love the way his hands are displayed, looking as if they could either be in a attacking or crawling position .Spidey2099 also has holes at the bottom of his feet, perfect for figure stands and multiple display options .

( 4 ) WHAT  I  LIKE  LEAST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? There is nothing that I dislike about this figure .

( 5 ) WHAT  COULD  HAVE  BEEN  DONE  TO  IMPROVE  THE  FIGURE ? Nothing that I can think of at the moment , except maybe an unmasked extra head would have been nice .

( 6 ) GRADING  SCALE - On a scale of one to ten I give Spidey2099 a Perfect Ten . I could find no flaws.

( 7 ) FINAL  ANALYSIS - Even though I gave this figure a perfect ten score, I am not a huge fan of the character . I have never read any of his comics, not yet at least but I will one day . As a matter of fact , the only character I have shown interest in reading about under the Spider-Man code name is Peter Parker, since he is the original Spidey that started it all .

ANNOUNCEMENT : Future website in the works!!!

This is an announcement that I am working on a website that combines toys and super hero comic books. I am trying to come up with enough content to draw interest before i upload it to the internet. Also I am trying to think of a name for it . When everything is ready, I'll let you know here.

Since I am both a fan of super hero comics and action figures, I'll combine these two forms of entertainment into one site. Action Figure Imagery Toy Reviews will continue to exist.

Would you like 6" scaled action figures of these characters?

Between making toy reviews on this site I am also still working on my super hero franchise project called Hero-Force,INC. at the moment . My dream is to have action figures, comic books , and maybe video games of these characters. There are over a hundred different characters in this franchise so far. I don't have the free time to preview all hundreds of characters at once, so here are a few of them along with what I am thinking about considering the permanent logo.

More information will become available about these characters on the Hero-Force,INC. Facebook page, along with the franchise itself. More posts like this one will be available in the future of other characters .

Masters of the Universe Classics- Multi-Bot Review !!!

Multi-Bot is part of the June 2015 Club Eternia subscription . Multi-bot is also cool as a character in my opinion. I say this because of his impressive debut in his vintage mini comic called " The Menace of Multi-bot ". Multi-Bot so far is also the most expensive figure from the subscription this year, costing a little over forty dollars. The reasons for the bloated price tag ? Well for starters, his package weighs more than other figures, thus increasing the shipping charges. Plus he comes with a boatload of accessories, or in this case, his spare parts.

I like Multi-bot's bio on the back of the packaging. I miss the old artwork that the vintage package had though.I just wish the bio could explain the many different looks of the character . Notice that the toy version, cartoon version and vintage mini comic version of Multi-bot all look different . Before I go back to talking about this MOTUC toy, I'm going to focus on Multi-Bot as a character for a few moments. First here are both the cartoon and mini comic versions of the character.

If you pay close attention , the different versions do share some parts even though they look different otherwise. The treads on the feet along with the claw hands remain intact on all versions. The faces of Multi-Bot are totally different however. Here are some face comparison shots of the Filmation version and the toy.
As a kid I always thought that these two heads are the same.Still do. Even though the toy has an orange head compared to the yellow head of the cartoon version . I say these are the same heads because of yellow and orange being similar colors.
I also and still believe that these two heads are the same. Green is similar to blue. However like the other heads, the differences outnumber the similarities. Now back to Multi-Bot as a toy. In my opinion, the green head looks more like an alien human head instead of a robot. At least the orange head does look robotic and cybernetic . The following is how Multi-Bot is presented once you remove him from the packaging.
It surprised me to find both Multi-Bot heads with different complete bodies already put together, instead of the parts being spread apart like Modulok . Everything you see in the above pic is what you get with Multi-Bot . When I saw this, part of me likes the set up and part of me does not . I do like the idea of getting two complete figures in one package . However , this setup sort of takes the fun out of putting him together from scratch, just like the good old days . So even though the two complete figures is a nice touch, it is also fun to put everything together from scratch .
Before I continue with the toy review, back to Multi-bot one more time as a character. I'm about to show you the reason why he is one of my most favorite MOTU villains . Thanks to these shots from the vintage "Menace of Multi-Bot" mini comic .

I think Multi-Bot is great as a character because of how physically tough he is . In the top panel we see that he is strong enough to make the Royal Palace walls shake like an earthquake. In the other panels we see him beating up Teela, Sy-Klone, and even He-Man, even knocking the most powerful man of the universe to the ground with one punch . Now back to the toy again . Below are the two Multi-Bot bodies out of the clear packaging.

I like the two complete Multi-bots so much that I still have not bothered to take him / them apart yet. Maybe later, but not anytime soon . And just like MOTUC Modulok , Multi-Bot's parts are articulated . You can bend his elbows, bend his knees, move the arms and legs inward and outward, etc . Plus to my surprise, the bodies even have an ab crunch, just like any regular MOTUC figure . Also with these two complete bodies, you can see that Multi-Bot is about the same height as your average MOTUC figure .
                                                       FINAL   THOUGHTS

( 1 ) ARTICULATION - Never thought I would be using this category on Multi-bot of all figures, although the two complete bodies along with his spare parts do indeed have articulation . The two complete figures have basically the same normal articulation as any regular MOTUC figure .

( 2 ) STANDING  ABILITY - Both of the assembled complete figures stand very well without any balance issues .

( 3 ) WHAT  I  LIKE  BEST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE / FIGURES ? When referring to Multi-Bot, just like Two-Bad and Modulok , do we refer to these guys in a singular or plural tense ? Anyway , I love all of the spare parts. The options are almost endless of what you can transform Multi-bot into . We all know that he can be blended in with Modulok to form Mega-Beast . So the option to blend him in with another toy adds to the fun . I also love the fact that also like Modulok, Multi-Bot's guns can snap together and become one .

( 4 ) WHAT  I  LIKE  LEAST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? There is nothing that I dislike about this figure / figures .

( 5 ) WHAT  COULD  HAVE  BEEN  DONE  TO  IMPROVE  THE  FIGURE ? Nothing. It's perfect the way it is. However it would have been nice to have a Horde bat symbol / insignia for Multi-Bot to wear. Just like Modulok , they are the only Horde members without the Horde symbol / insignia / logo .

( 6 ) GRADING  SCALE - On a scale of 1-10 Multi-Bot is definitely a Perfect Ten . No flaws.

( 7 ) FINAL  ANALYSIS - Thanks to Multi-Bot, the Horde is now almost complete. Even though the toy is super cool , I actually enjoyed reviewing Multi-Bot more as a character than I did as a toy . I mean really, how many villains can you think of to knock He-Man down with one punch? Amazing character, amazing toy .

Marvel Legends Infinite Series -Spider-Man- Daredevil Review !!!

I purchased this version of Daredevil for around $19.96 at a local Walmart. This is my second DD ( Daredevil ) Marvel Legend figure. The previous one is the version that came packaged with the Kingpin from the Toybiz series. I'm normally not interested in purchasing a character I already have a figure of, however I decided to purchase because of the Hobgoblin build a figure . Not just only because of the build a figure, I feel that this Daredevil figure looks a lot cooler than some of the previous versions .

Note to Hasbro- I think it is now time to package the figures in a normal standing pose. When I pulled DD out of the packaging, I noticed that the clear hard plastic had made his ab crunch kind of loose. It's not super loose, it still functions okay but I think the joints would be a little tighter if it was not for the hard clear plastic.

Unlike previous Daredevil Marvel Legends , this one is perfect when it comes to the comic book likeness of the character. I feel that the other DD figures were either to slim or to bulky for the character. This version came out perfect. Plus is it just me or does this DD figure have a 2015 feel to it ? He looks as if he is made based on the looks of today's Marvel comics, compared to old issues from the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and 1990s.Above I have him posed both with and without his cane, to give you an idea of which look is the best suited display for the figure.
These are all of the accessories DD comes with. Two pieces that make up his cane. You can insert one piece into the other combining for one long weapon or leave them separate. The other pieces belong to the build a figure Hobgoblin. Above is the left arm of Hobby along with one of his fireballs.
We all know that DD would not be complete without his leg holster. As you can see you can use the holster to store both of his cane parts. The holster is not attached to his leg, it can be moved around freely. Now for some comparison shots of this version of Daredevil to one of the earlier Toybiz versions .

Notice the differences and similarities ? I've taken comparison shots both with and without the flash from my camera so that you can compare the two . The first thing I noticed are the different shades of red. This current DD has a darker red costume compared to the lighter red costume of the older figure. Plus the Toybiz version looks a little too big in the chest and shoulders area, whereas the current version is how the character really looks in the comics . The canes are styled differently also. Here's a comparison of the canes.
The one with the string belongs to the older Toybiz version . I like the Toybiz cane better because it is made out of harder plastic than the current figure's cane . I think that the current cane is too soft and too rubbery. So between both DD figures, I like the current Hasbro DD figure better than I do this old Toybiz version I'm comparing him to , however when it comes down to the canes I prefer the Toybiz version . As a matter of fact, I decided to display this current Hasbro Daredevil figure with the Toybiz cane . Despite the fact he did not come with this version of the cane I think he looks cool with it .
Daredevil's belt can be moved around also. It is not attached to his waist or sculpted on . Below you can see the height of the figure .
He is exactly at six inches tall , although this picture can be deceiving making it look as if he is a little shorter than that. Some of it is my fault , I should've straightened his legs out a little better so that he can look his true height. My bad . Plus I was standing over him when I took this pic, at a downward angle, instead of shooting the camera directly across from the figure like I normally do . I'll know better next time for the next figure I review.
                                                     FINAL   THOUGHTS

( 1 ) ARTICULATION - Perfect all around articulation . The all around head movement has finally returned to the Marvel Legend figures.

( 2 ) STANDING  ABILITY - The figure stands perfect once you get him in the proper stance with no balance issues.

( 3 ) WHAT  I  LIKE  BEST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? His perfect likeness to his comic book self . The different shades of red in his costume are cool looking . He has a hole in his upper back so that you can put him on flight stands, displaying him in the aerial poses that he is known for. Although I like the Toybiz cane better, this cane is still nice in the fact that you can snap it together. He also has holes at the bottom of his boots just in case if you want to display him on a figure stand .

( 4 ) WHAT  I  LIKE  LEAST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? There is nothing that I dislike about this figure.

( 5 ) WHAT  COULD  HAVE  BEEN  DONE  TO  IMPROVE  THE  FIGURE ? Make the cane similar to the Toybiz version . An unmasked Matt Murdock head would have been a nice bonus accessory.

( 6 ) GRADING  SCALE - A Perfect Ten !!! I find no flaws in this action figure.

( 7 ) FINAL  ANALYSIS - I have made up my mind that I will now be displaying this version of Daredevil along with my other good guy Marvel Legends from now on, instead of any of the old Toybiz versions. Even tough he is a character that many of us had already had a figure of , I feel that this DD figure is better than a lot of the figures whose characters were made into Marvel Legends for the first time .
