WAR CRAFT - Durotan Review !!!

This is my second figure of the 6 inch scaled WarCraft movie figures by Jakks Pacific. I purchased this figure at a local Target store for around $ 24.99 . These figures are pretty pricey .

Notice that these figures do not have as much articulation as most modern six inch scaled figures such as Marvel Legends, etc. Only eleven points of articulation for Durotan however this does not limit how cool the figure is. Now for a look at Durotan out of the packaging .

When removing Durotan from the packaging, one of the first things about him that you may notice is that he's literally kind of heavy . Seriously, he's very bulky and solid, which is a good thing . Because not only is he somewhat of a monster, but feels like one too. I love this figure despite the limited articulation. I love his attire it is very decorative. His dreadlocks are nicely done as they can bent and lifted. His attire is kind of reminiscent of old Native American wear . The fur looks as if is from some horned animal similar to a buffalo. Speaking of animals, that is indeed an animal skull in the middle of his belt piece. Durotan only came with one accessory, his battle ax. Have a better look at it below.
The ax fits in only his right hand . I love how it is decorated . It looks the same on both sides. Now let's take a small break from the Durotan figure just a little and look at the wonderful artwork that came packaged in with him. Behind him to be exact .

Each Warcraft action figure from this series comes with a artistic background indicating their habitats. Now back to the figure. Below is a more detailed look at this Durotan figure .

As already mentioned I love Durotan's attire. It has a prehistoric look to it as well as an old Indian Chief tribe attire look. Like a mixture of both . The animal bones, the fur, makes this outfit stand out. Some of the bones look as if they can be used as weapons as well. Now for a look at Durotan next to the human character from the same franchise known as Lothar .

Wow was the first word to come to my mind when I noticed how big Durotan's hands are. In the pic above, his hand is as big as Lothar's chest. I just love the differences of the physical characteristics of these characters. It adds realism and makes sense since they are two different species.
FINAL  THOUGHTS

(1) ARTICULATION - Although only 11 points of articulation as noted on the packaging, the only part that does not move that many collectors would love to is the head .

(2) STANDING  ABILITY - Thanks to Durotan's big monster feet he stands really well .

(3) WHAT  I  LIKE  BEST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? - The girth, weight of how solid he is. His wardrobe /attire and the luxury/ability to put him in some nice battle poses swinging his ax .

(4) WHAT  I  LIKE  LEAST  ABOUT  THIS  FIGURE ? - There is nothing that I dislike about this figure.

(5) WHAT  COULD  HAVE  BEEN  DONE  TO  IMPROVE  THE  FIGURE ? - Add head articulation however Durotan is still a cool figure without it.

(6) GRADING  SCALE - A Perfect 10 I could find no flaws.

(7) FINAL  ANALYSIS - I plan on purchasing more of these Warcraft figures in the future .
